A CLOSE KNIT FAMILY

NAMU :: part one from TheNickel on Vimeo.

Namu Gaji is an intimate neighborhood restaurant with world class unique cuisine brought to you by three Korean American brothers and their close knit Namu family. The restaurant was built by the Lee brothers and the passion, care and craft is evident in the whole experience as a diner. The design is clean, rustic and elemental, anchored by a ceiling mounted sculpture of a manzanita branch, carved from redwood and dyed with sumi ink.

Service is friendly, intimate and honest, where you will find the owners, friends, and family always present. Using seasonal, local, and regional ingredients, the cuisine is a much heralded new addition to California Cuisine.

The menu changes daily and is driven by the hand picked local and organic ingredients. Chef Dennis Lee is an autodidact, pioneering new cuisine that draws from the incredible local bounty and talent of the Bay area.

We feature an eclectic menu of shared plates and entree style plates ranging from raw items, such as crudo or tartare of local fish as well as fresh beautiful rare wild fish flown in from the Tsukiji market in Japan, as well as crispy items such as sea urchin wrapped in shiso and lightly fried in rice husk oil, braised meats and vegetables, and a binchotan fired charcoal grill that produces beautiful grilled items such as gochujang sake marinated organic pork ribs, kobe style skirt steak, and grilled pristine local line caught fish.
